Brent Brown Toyota Scionhas named June 25 through 30 “Goose Kallunki Week” to honor the Utah Valley University Wolverine’s homerun hitter’s amazing year and his recent induction into Major League Baseball.

Guests who arrive at the Orem Toyota dealership during the week can receive free giveaways, including hats, shirts, sunscreen and more. They may also check out the new Wolverine iQ Taxi, a UVU-themed Scion iQ designed by a student of the school.

“Goose Kallunki has been a valuable asset to Utah Valley University and the community,” said Brent Brown, President of Brent Brown Toyota Scion and the namesake for UVU ballpark. “We want to share our appreciation with the public for his contribution to the memorable season.”

Kallunki was drafted by the San Diego Padres on June 6. He had just finished lead the Wolverines to a record 47 wins, including a 32-game winning streak — the longest in the nation at the time. He was named a Louisville Slugger First Team All-American and Great West Conference Player of the Year for his nation-leading 86 RBIs for the season.

Brent Brown Toyota Scion has been an active supporter of Utah Valley University as part of its broader efforts to improve childhood education. In 2007, Brent Brown made a 10-year $1 million donation to then-UVSC in exchange for naming rights to the ballpark.
