You got it, Hallocane, Horrific, Hellavahurricane havoc onthe east coast-the entire east coast-at one time. 2,000 miles from edge to edge, hurricane Sandy, now dubbed a super-storm, does it’s own PR, stealing headlines from everything else Halloween horrific, even the Obama & Romney billion dollar showdown. Speaking of billion$, this is forecasted to be the storm that keeps on giving ($10-20B in damage estimated) throughout the holidays for 60 million potentially affected people. This doesn’t include the tsunami sized ripple effects on markets, air travel, tourism, government, industry caught up in it’s wake.

With election day looming, the president was quick to be seen declaring disaster and promising quick FEMA relief on borrowed Chinese money.

What are the ripple effects that will likely come from Sandy? The NYC subway is closed until further notice. Mother Earth surely demonstrated its power. Perhaps the only entity more powerful is earth’s engineer.

PS. Our family’s thoughts and prayers go out to my daughter and her fiancee hunkered down in their new apartment in Alexandria. At least they are on the 3rd floor above the flood threat.
