Media Alert - UVEF Appoints John Pilmer as PR Chair

OREM, Utah – April 20, 2005 – The Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum (UVEF) today announced the appointment of John Pilmer, APR, as Public Relations Chair on the UVEF board. Mr. Pilmer, president of PilmerPR (www.pilmerpr.com), brings more than 20 years of experience with Utah companies including Certiport, FromGlobalToYou.com, INVISUS, NextPage, Smith Administrators and Novell, among others. Mr. Pilmer is one of only 4,300 active PR practitioners holding the distinguished APR accreditation for public relations professionals. He holds a BS in Marketing from BYU and an MBA from the University of Utah. Mr. Pilmer serves as chapter president for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Also serving on this year’s board are Paul Allen – Infobase Ventures, Bryant Armstrong – Squire & Company, Karen Gudmundson – Power Innovations, Kyle Love – Cogito, Inc., Shauna Theobald – UVSC Small Business Development Center, Les Pardew – Alpine Studios, Steve Grizzell – UTFC Financing Solutions, Dr. Mark W. Lund – PowerStream, with Michelle Olsen serving as Secretary to the Board – on loan from the Commission for Economic Development in Orem (CEDO).
