Amy Rees Anderson, REES Capital founder and managing partner, has been named the Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum’s (UVEF) 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year. Rees was among five honored as winners for its 2013 Annual UVEF Awards. The annual event recognizes Utah companies and leaders for innovation, business growth and contributions to the entrepreneurial community. The room was packed for the awards luncheon held at the Zion’s Bank Tower in Provo, Utah.
“I am honored that the UVEF has recognized me with this prestigious award, and I am grateful to them for the support and encouragement they provide to entrepreneurs throughout the state of Utah,” said Anderson. “Utah’s business-friendly environment helps foster a spirit of entrepreneurship that continues to produce new and innovative companies, and I love having the opportunity to support other entrepreneurs the way so many have done for me.”

- Ron King Social Entrepreneur of the Year: Trano Mirary – Lacee Curtis/Michael O’Day
- Greatest Contribution to Entrepreneurs: Roger Andrus
- Utah Valley’s Best Kept Entrepreneurial Secret: iTOK, Inc.
- Entrepreneur of the Year: Amy Rees Anderson
