SALT LAKE CITY, May 24, 2023 – PilmerPR, a Benefit LLC, was proud to represent two Best of State winners at this year’s gala, including the overall Science and Technology division BOSS Award recipient.
Darrell Jakins, COO of Humless, a Lindon-based company fueling the evolution of home and commercial power management, accepted the award on behalf of the company. Humless was selected as Best of State in the Solar Technology category for achievements in the solar power storage industry, including things like their cutting-edge modular extended energy storage technology or upgraded Lithium-Iron Phosphate batteries, which are more environmentally friendly than their traditional counterparts.
In addition to their Best of State category win, Humless was awarded the BOSS (Best of State Statue) in the Solar Technology division at the Best of State Gala. The BOSS is a 20-pound, solid bronze, 24-karat gold-plated sculpture standing on a gold-plated bronze base and is awarded to those who have an exceptional application, setting them apart from others in their division.
Cedar City’s Netgain Property Management was also selected for the Best of State Award in the Property Management category, for its holistic approach to housing and connected concerns. Owner Derek Morton accepted the award at the gala. Some of the things contributing to Netgain’s selection included the hiring of a housing advocate as well as Netgain’s partnerships with ESUSU and Rhino.

Recent PilmerPR client Dynamic Blending was also selected as a Best of State recipient for the 3rd year running, in the Chemicals and Related Products category of the Production and Manufacturing division.
Best of State winners are selected by a panel of judges based on Achievement in the field of endeavor, innovation or creativity in approaches, techniques, methods, or processes, and contribution to the quality of life in Utah.
